A photo of a mid-20th-century style travel poster to 'isomorphism'

Isomorphism in mathematics studies the structural similarities between different systems, while in materials science, it refers to materials that can form the same crystal structure.

A digital design influenced by mid-20th-century travel posters explored these abstract themes as an exotic destination. It was transferred onto pre-painted plywood using carbon copy paper and then carefully hand-cut with a fret saw.

Media:

Plywood and stainless steel.
